  • Compile and submit regular reports of damaged, outdated stock or supplies, over and under shipments, return of products to vendor, etc. and segregate defective products from the regular inventory flow.
  • Prioritize and pick material to fill orders and stage products for loading.
  • Assist in verifying all incoming and outgoing products for accuracy in terms of amount, size, and type, informing management of inventory and supply shortages, and assisting in periodic inventory counts.
  • Operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, etc.) safely and maintain an operator license, if required.
  • Assist in administrative tasks, such as the handling and preparation of paperwork. May assist in the daily closing of the warehouse.

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Work experience as a general labourer, preferably in the warehouse.

  • Review work schedules, obtain supplies required to perform the work, and prepare for operations.
  • Perform a safety check on the pallet jack/forklift to be used and ensure that all other safety devices are functioning correctly.
  • Put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
  • Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
  • Place pallets on a pallet jack, operate along assigned multi-level racks, and locate products according to order sheets.
  • Manually place the appropriate stock items on pallets from pick slots and racks as required. Use single and/or double pallets as directed.

Requirements.

  • High School Diploma/GED or State Approved Equivalent.
  • 6-12 months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
  • Foodservice distribution or related industry experience.
  • Experience using a motorized pallet jack.
  • Motorized pallet jack certified.
