Job Description.
Accountants spend most of the work day analyzing, collecting, compiling, and evaluating financial data. Accountants also prepare various reports and financial statements, from daily cash flow statements for small companies to annual financial reports for large organizations.
An accountant is a professional responsible for keeping and interpreting financial records. Most accountants are responsible for a wide range of finance-related tasks, either for individual clients or for larger businesses and organizations employing them.
They Prepare and maintain essential financial reports. Preparing tax returns and ensuring that taxes are paid correctly and on time. Evaluate financial operations to recommend best practices, identify issues, strategize solutions, and help organizations run efficiently.
The term accountant refers to a professional who performs accounting functions such as account analysis, auditing, or financial statement analysis. Accountants work with accounting firms or internal account departments with large companies.
Responsibilities.
- Preparation of monthly accounts up to trial balance.
- Accrual and prepayment preparation and posting.
- Maintain Fixed asset register and asset accounting.
- Reconciliations including banks, Intercompany.
- Affiliate accounting and payments.
- Month-end P&L and Balance sheet commentary.
- Support Corporation tax and PSA reporting preparation.
- Supporting the team in completing Internal audit requests.
- Preparation of monthly VAT Returns.
- Be a valued business partner and build and maintain good working relationships with internal and. external stakeholders and auditors.
- Support Global Finance teams with ad hoc requests.
- Support with improving current processes and maintaining process guidelines.
Requirements.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).
- 3+ years of accounting experience, including experience with IFRS and UK GAAP principles.
- Experience in dealing with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and communications skills.
- Business acumen, result-driven, Self-Starter, outgoing, looking to excel and make a difference.
- Proactive and positive attitude, critical thinker with a responsible attitude to the workload, and able to work autonomously and within a team.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Gaming Industry experience is an advantage but not necessary.
- Strong Excel skills.
Salary: The total pay for an Accountant is £46,376 per year in London, United Kingdom.
