This (Electrician) position provides services for the production operators who use this equipment to perform their work.

This position requires good communication skills, understanding and commitment to the team effort, flexibility, and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Keep electrical equipment operating efficiently.
2. Install new electrical equipment as required
3. Preventative maintenance inspections on assigned equipment and complete, accurate reports
4. Removal and replacement of electrical equipment
5. Repair and troubleshoot damaged or faulty electrical equipment and report any deficiencies to the Foreman.

Qualifications:

1. Construction or MTC license 309A and 442
2. Good written/oral communication skills
3. Thorough knowledge of current electrical code
4. Intermediate computer skills.

The Electrician must have the ability to perform the following functions:

1. Read and interpret schematic and construction wire drawings
2. The program, troubleshoot, and monitor PLC systems and equipment control schemes
3. Overhaul and troubleshoot switch gears
4. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair Motor control centers (MCCs)
5. Install and maintain electrical wiring, conduits, cable trays, etc
6. Install, troubleshoot and calibrate instrumentation
7. Understand and troubleshoot different types of relays, and their application
8. Maintain, test, and troubleshoot transformers and identify and correct problems with motors, AC/DC drives
9. Lubricate assigned equipment properly

Health and Safety

1. Comply with OHSA and all of its applicable regulations
2. Personal Protective Equipment as prescribed
3. Comply with CRH safety rules, policies, and procedures
4. Report all incidents and near misses
5. Report all safety hazards
6. Follow Lockout/Tag out procedures
7. Port security awareness

Environment and Quality: ISO 9001 and 14001 compliance. Other:

• Post Secondary education is an asset
• 3-5 Years experience in a similar industry.
