Responsibilities

1. Ability to manage project scope, risk, quality, cost, change management, and schedule
2. Working with the project sponsor to develop project communications, set direction and goals, and determine priorities
3. Facilitating risk assessment/mitigation sessions and follow-through risk management with a balanced and business priority-driven approach
4. Leveraging a solid understanding of the project management life cycle and related principles, methodologies, and best practices improves such processes and execution.
5. Manage and execute project budgets as well as ownership of project P&L
6. Assist with discovering and developing SOWs, Change orders, etc.
7. Participate in Steering Committee deliverables if required as part of the project delivery process
8. Provide leadership and communication to customers and internal Hitachi Solutions stakeholders on project progressions, challenges, threats, etc.
9. Participate in ongoing process improvement within Hitachi Solutions around practice, delivery teams, and methodology initiatives
10. Achieve a revenue-managed portfolio of $1.7M or better
11. Periodically support sales by providing estimates for new opportunities
12. Performs other duties or tasks as assigned or required and completes the Annual Review process for all team members

Qualifications and skills

1. Minimum of 5 years experience in a professional services Project Management role
2. Ability to communicate effectively with Senior Management (including business and IT C-level staff) and customers/vendors
3. Balance of business knowledge and people management skills
4. Applied experience with Project Management principles, practices, and methodologies such as AGILE, SCRUM, PMI, etc.
5. A genuine passion for the work we do and the technologies we support
6. Excellent judgment, strong interpersonal abilities, and an assertive team member
7. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
8. Ability to think strategically in support of the bigger picture
9. Ability to think outside of the box and find creative solutions to achieve organizational goals
10. Positive mindset, results-oriented, and problem-solving attitude.

Preferred Skills (optional):

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
2. Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
3. Experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools
4. Experience with Agile methodologies
5. Knowledge of SCRUM framework
6. CSM certification is a plus.
