Role Summary: The role is focused on supporting domestic and international financial institutions who are arranging securitization, project finance, and securities repack products and extensive domestic and foreign asset managers who invest in a diverse range of Real Assets such as Office, Residential, Hotels, Infrastructure, Data Centers, Renewable Energy projects. You will be working with the client, and their advisors as the deal are formed on the closing and management of entrusted assets and the administrative agent role of the project post-closing.
The role is very client-orientated and bespoke solution business with reputable clients, close communication, and coordination. This unique position in the trust industry provides clients with a differentiated trust services model. Key responsibilities:
- Administrating trust and agency services as follows:✓ Monitoring entrusted assets and covenants as stipulated in the agreements with the clients✓ Handling waterfall calculation and payment by the agreement with the clients✓ Following the procedure to observe Japanese regulated trust laws and other relevant law✓ Making trust fund accounting reports, including journal entries and preparation of fund financial statements
- Communicating with investors, lenders, and other participants in the structure to administrate the trust and agency services, including obtaining approvals from beneficiaries and/or lenders following the agreement with the clients.
- Amending transaction documents about existing trust and agency services, including reviewing documents, negotiating with relevant parties, and also going through the internal approval process of those changes
- Periodical due diligence review of entrusted assets and outsourced parties for trust and agency services by internal procedures.

Required Skills
- RequirementsSkills / experience:(must have)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced business environment
- Strong communication skills in both Japanese & English (at least able to read/write e-mail and understand legal agreements)
- A minimum 5 years of experience in loan administration business / collateral management, including servicers, preferably in close relation with trust structures
- (nice to have)
- A minimum 5 years of experience in the trust administration business
- Knowledge of bookkeeping (3rd-grade equivalent or higher preferable)
- Broad knowledge of Japanese trust business and syndicated loan business
- Broad knowledge of Japanese trust business law and trust banking regulations, trust products, and structured finance schemes
- MS Office proficiency (Word/Excel)
- Drive to improve business practices and willingness to share ideas
- Balance of work and life outside the office is very important
