Job Description

Project Management

• Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials, in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets. Communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations;
• Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers, research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible;
• Actively contribute to AOP/POR and in defining Purchasing budget;
• Manage suppliers daily;
• Evaluate the best supplier, checking capacity and ability to meet expectations;
• Confer with suppliers and analyze supplier operations to determine factors that affect prices and determine the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules and Corporate policies;
• Coordinate Feasibility and Contract Reviews with suppliers in collaboration with internal stakeholders (mainly Engineering department) prior to award;
• Notify non conformities reports to Suppliers and ask for corrective actions;
• Define Price List (fixed and/or variable);
• Evaluate activities following fixed price list and liaise with Tactical Buyer for purchasing order issue;
• Manage Vendors’ orders acceptance;
• Participates in developing negotiation strategy and offer phase with PSQ team, supporting standard cost creation, new codes definition;
• Liaising with Production & Inventory Control assure balance of supply and demand to meet customer’s expectations;
• Liaising with Engineering and Production contribute to new product development;
• Work with various functions within the company to select suppliers and establish alternative sources of supply;
• Support expediting activities when/if needed.

Category Management

• Liaising with Category Manager, negotiate contracts (E-Sourcing platform) and define Category strategy;
• Analyze historic and previsional data in E-Sourcing;
• Actively contribute to the conception of the quotation to vendors in order to optimize quality, cost, lead time and Category investment; Contribute to the negotiation phase in key projects for the purposes of margin uplift;
• Liaising with other functions, develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement (VA/VE).

Reports and Analytics

• Develop Vendors Matrix (GME, Growth Maintain Exit);

• Ensure correct projects information is loaded into ProTrack systems;
• Follow up performance during the project phase, compare and negotiate costs against objectives, ensure quality respect and delivery deadlines (RDSL and PPM);
• Elaborate Good Receiver (GR) report;
• Set and maintain stocking strategies within the ERP system, taking record of passing through materials
• Monitor and verify Action Plan and Buyer Report Out (BRO) results with Key Vendors;
• Maintain timely and accurately the Vendor and Material Master Data systems and databases, including but not limited to the commercial conditions, lead time, costed bill of material and tooling cost through change management from phase zero through start of production.
• Track and maintain an up to date list of patterns and/or tooling by supplier (location, state, guarantee life, remaining production quantities). Identify and process the needs of new investments during budget phase.
• Monitor and evaluate vendors’ratings, give feedback about prices and defects (RDAL and DPPM), liaising with designated colleagues (Pic, Category Manager etc).
