Job Description.
As a Data Analyst in our Engineering team, you’ll support Reliability, Technical Projects, and other Business Improvement initiatives in this exciting opportunity by providing data-driven insights to support focused maintenance on our aircraft.
Responsibilities.
- Develop and deliver dynamic dashboards and reports at various levels (e.g. aircraft, product, maintenance task).
- Curate data sources to provide more efficient, up-to-date, relevant and accessible information to the business.
- Provide practical recommendations to support the development of our Reliability programmes, providing easy access tools that deliver clear insights and items for our teams to focus on.
- Accessing our data at the source to figure out the best inputs for new Key Performance Indicators
- Utilising our analytics tools (PowerBI) to deliver excellence in reporting.
- Work on and own assigned projects on engineering and maintenance-related initiatives, including planning, research and implementation, to provide our teams with full ‘idea to delivery’ reporting solutions.
- Develop and improve critical metrics to support day-to-day management
- Work with other analysts across the business to integrate or correlate customer trends and insights into engineering data where beneficial.
- Present and influence at all levels, including the senior management team.
- Seek further data-driven opportunities to add new value to the business and be a continuous improvement champion.
Requirements.
- Exceptional numerical skills and good attention to detail (essential).
- The ability to communicate complex messages to various audiences (essential).
- Advanced Excel skills (essential).
- Advanced knowledge and practical application of analytical and visualisation, including Tableau or QLIK (essential) & Power BI (desirable).
- Experience in querying databases using SQL and combining ETL tools such as ADF or Alteryx (desirable).
- Experience developing team or department strategies at various levels – corporate, customer, etc. (desirable).
- Experience using predictive modelling (forecasting) tools and techniques (desirable).
- Understanding the aviation industry and appreciating an engineering or maintenance environment (desirable).
