Job Description

We are looking for a strategically minded PR professional to develop and manage communication strategies for global clients. The International Account Executive (IAE) at COSMO is a full-time position that functions as part of the International and Business Development Division. This role is responsible for supporting client accounts and managing day-to-day relations for communication strategies. The professional may also support other accounts that require native-English support. The IBD team works with client companies and agency affiliates with staff based in Japan or overseas. Strong English and Japanese skills are required to support relations for client content, company internal and external communications including editing and revising of English and Japanese content.To succeed in this role, the candidate should be a fully proficient native English speaker.Business level Japanese is a definite plus. We are seeking a digital savvy professional with energy, flexibility, positivity, customer focus, strategic thinking ability, and a proven track record of delivering results with high ethics and integrity, as well as someone who works collaboratively with teams. This exciting role requires a high level of comfort communicating with multinational people.Additionally, the IAE will serve as the key point of contact with members of the foreign press and global media, and will work to develop strong relationships with the media to secure meetings, interviews, and other engagement on behalf of our clients.This role is expected to help our clients (Japanese companies) expand overseas with use of overseas media as well as help local Japanese companies spearhead engagement with foreign media based in Japan.The IAE is expected to

• Add value by leveraging mostly non-Japanese media relations
•  Work collaboratively up and down the organization as well as across our healthcare network
•  Deliver billable hours in line with objectives
• Deliver ideas to differentiate COSMO services
•  Use fluent English, and Japanese at a professional level
• Demonstrate excellent English and Japanese communication ability
• Demonstrate excellent time management skills
• Support company-wide efforts to strengthen digital presence and content via owned media(website and SNS channels)

Requirements

Required Skills

• Main ResponsibilitiesManagement
• Oversee development of strong media relations
• Serve as the go-to COSMO media relations specialist for global clients
• Work alongside account managers, directors, and others to spearhead engagement with the (foreign) press
• Assist with strategic planning of press materials, etc.
• Comply with company management policies

Client Relationship

• Support accounts with media relations and communications expertise
• Thoroughly understand clients’ media relations needs
• Provide effective and high quality materials such as interviews and other media-related 　　materials
• Use resources appropriately and efficiently
• Be willing to learn from others and develop deep knowledge of the healthcare industry, and expand into other sectors as required
• Utilize expertise in media relations, event management, press release, crisis and issues handling, etc

Education Minimum:  Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in marketing communications areaExperience Minimum:  3~5 years’ experience in PR / marketing communications / media relations, ideally in healthcare industryCompensation To be determined based on experienceProbationary Period：6 monthsCOSMO working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 – 17:30. Given the global nature of COSMO clients and affiliates, some meetings may fall outside these hours.
