• As, an international student, you will generally be selected based on your performance in one of the following completed in 2024 (ie, your ATAR or equivalent)
• An Australian Year 12 qualification (either outside or in Australia)
• New Zealand National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level 3.
• An International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma
• As an ANU student, you must ensure you hold a current visa which entitles you to study for the duration of your program. Typically this is a subclass 500 student visa.
• It would be best if you had a good pass in the English Language requirement
• You are also required to have a valid passport for the duration of your stay in Australia
• To be admitted to a postgraduate coursework degree, you need to hold already or be about to complete an Australian Bachelor Degree or other qualification accepted by ANU.

1. ANU admits students twice a year, in Semester 1 and Semester 2.

ANU Application Process

The application is a three-stage process and they keep you up-to-date throughout making sure you know what stage your application is at, and any next steps you need to take.

1. After submitting your application, there’s a complete Eligibility Check to see that you meet the minimum admission requirements to study at ANU.
2. After you’ve passed the Eligibility Check and moved to the next stage, ANU ranks your application against others applying for the same program in the same round.
3. If you are successful in any of the three rounds of an intake, you will receive an offer to study at ANU.
4. Your Letter of Offer will give you a date by which you need to accept your offer. Remember to take your offer on time – if you don’t, it’s most likely your offer will be made void, and you’ll have to apply again at another time.
5. If you miss out on receiving an offer in the current round, we notify you to let you know that you have been placed on a waitlist and will be re-assessed in the next round.
6. An electronic confirmation of enrolment (eCoE) document is issued to all international students once you have accepted your offer to study at ANU.

Next Steps To Take After Being Accepted Into ANU

• Firstly, you must accept your offer no later than the date indicated in your offer, so you can start to plan your studies and get involved with the ANU community.
• The next step is that you complete the personalized Acceptance & Payment Advice form attached to your offer letter, then scan and email the completed form to [email protected].
• If you applied through the Universities Admissions Centre, you will need to complete the Offer Acceptance Declaration and Payment Form and email the completed form to [email protected].
• Make sure that your living arrangements while studying will need to be approved at the time of acceptance.
• You will have to deposit a specified amount of money which will be included in your letter of the offer via western union.
• Make sure to make use of the eco to apply for an Australian student visa
• Approximately two months prior to the commencement of the semester, you will receive an email containing your ANU student identification number and password.

The Australian tuition fees are charged based on your individual course enrolment, each course you enrol in has an associated fee that may be different from your other courses.
