Auto Service Specialist: An Auto service specialist’s primary responsibility includes fixing, inspecting, and maintaining cars, trucks, SUVs, and other vehicles.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Pass CAST test
  • Applicants must have a Class A CDL permit at the time of application and a clean driving record. If the applicant is awarded the position, they must obtain a valid Class A CDL license (for manual transmission with no mechanical restrictions (i.e., airbrakes)) before their official transfer/start date.
  • Pass Arizona Public Service physical exam (drug test, etc.)
  • Pass strength & agility/dexterity test.
  • Knowledge in all aspects of light-duty truck maintenance/ repair.
  • Five years experience as an Auto Mechanic or three years experience as an Auto Mechanic plus one of the following: completed a qualified Auto Mechanic Apprenticeship program, an Automotive AAS degree from a community college, or graduated from a Certified Automotive Technical School.
  • Candidate must successfully pass all testing requirements on the written, hands-on and oral interviews.
  • Must live reasonably (within 45 minutes of headquarters under usual driving conditions).
  • This position requires working with aerial equipment with weight restrictions of 300 lbs or less.

Manager IT: The primary responsibility of a manager IT includes coordinating, planning, and leading computer-related activities in an organization. They are also responsible for executing computer systems to fulfil the organization’s information systems requirements. They also help decide the IT needs of an organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field and eight years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience plus 3 years of previous leadership experience. Knowledge of infrastructure technologies (compute, storage, networking, physical infrastructure, software, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and open-source packages and solutions, virtual and cloud offerings including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS); Knowledge of infrastructure capacity, management and monitoring tools, solution sizing for hardware/software platforms, industry-standard security requirements and designs. Advanced knowledge of job areas is typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

Data Governance Analyst: A data governance analyst’s primary responsibility is to assist the information/data governance team in forming and executing a data governance framework, policy, and standards. This position assists in the implementation of an enterprise data governance program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, information technology, data science, or a related field
  • AND eight (8) years of related data management and business operations experience,
  • OR Master’s degree in engineering, business, information technology, data science, or a related field.
  • AND six (6) years of related data management and business operations experience.
  • In place of a degree, an equivalent combination of relevant college coursework and related data management and business operations experience totalling eleven (11) years.

Business Operation Analyst: A Business operations analyst’s responsibilities include conducting extensive, accurate analyses of their organization’s existing business operations. Nuclear Auxillary Operator: The primary responsibilities of a nuclear auxiliary operator trainee include learning, helping, and assisting the Nuclear Auxillary Operator/Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED. Must pass EEI POSS testing.
  • Nuclear requirement: Any PVGS employee may be called upon to serve as an Emergency Response Organization (ERO) member and will be expected to fulfil their obligation as an ERO member. This is a condition of employment at PVGS. Roles and Responsibilities defined in Policy 1503 and implementing policy guidelines apply to all employees.

Supervisor Customer Experience Centre: The primary role of customer experience management is to effectively increase customer satisfaction by ensuring interactions with customers and meeting customer needs. Requirements 

  • HS/GED and five (5) years of directly related experience. Customer Service experience may be in the Call Center, Banking, Retail, or other service-related positions. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels.
  • Creatively solve problems and manage change effectively—high-quality interpersonal and management skills and experience handling demanding customers.
  • Proficient skills in personal computer and customer database systems.
  • Demonstrated results in meeting goals and targets, experience in performance management, and excellent planning, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge, or Qualifications: Utility experience is preferred. Previous experience in a leadership role is desired.

Balancing Authority Operator: The Balancing Authority Operator has the authority to perform necessary actions to maintain reliability, including emergency generation replacement, unscheduled load relief, and firm burden.

  • High school/GED and four (4) years of experience in a related field, such as power plant operations, electric system fieldwork, or other electrical operations work.
  • OR BS/BA/AA in a related technical field or operations/business management and two (2) years experience in a related field, such as power plant operations, electric system fieldwork, or other electric operations work management.
  • Ability to obtain the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) certification within six (6) months of hire and to complete all continuing education as required by NERC and the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC).
  • Continue educational and professional development beyond basic (entry-level) training. Ability to work rotating shifts.

Transmission Operator: The responsibilities of a Transmission System Operator include transporting energy in the form of natural gas or electrical power on a national or regional level, using the fixed infrastructure. Requirements

  • High school/GED and four (4) years of experience in a related field, such as power plant operations, electric system fieldwork, or other electrical operations work.
  • OR a BS/BA/AA in a related technical field or operations/business management and two (2) years experience in a related field, such as power plant operations, electric system fieldwork, or other electric operations work management.
  • Ability to obtain NERC Certification within six (6) months of hire and complete all continuing education required by NERC and WECC.
  • Continue educational and professional development beyond basic (entry-level) training.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts.

Maintenance operations generally include dismantling and assembling, often involving complicated machinery. Their responsibilities consist of the following:

  • Inspection.
  • Testing.
  • Measurement.
  • Replacement.
  • Adjustment.
  • Repair.

Requirements

  • High school degree/GED and two (2) years of Journeyman electrician experience
  • OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or an equivalent discipline and two (2) years experience in construction, engineering, operations, or maintenance within the utility or related industry.
  • OR high school degree/GED and seven (7) years equivalent combination of education and experience in construction, engineering, operations, or maintenance within the utility or related industry.
  • Some positions may require experience with rubber glove (RG) practices.
  • Working knowledge of company policies and procedures, environmental regulations, Labor agreements, Arizona Public Service Construction Standards, Accident Prevention Manual, and OSHA standards.
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills.

Business systems analysts are also known as systems analysts; they are information technology professionals who gather and analyze business systems-related data to determine where improvements can be made. Requirements 

  • BS/BA equivalency or an equivalent combination of four years of relevant business work experience and relevant college coursework in business, information technology, or a related area.
  • Additional two (2) years of progressively responsible experience where general knowledge and understanding of business unit business systems, basic knowledge of database design, structure, functions, and processes, and experience with database tools are obtained.
  • General understanding of business unit and operational knowledge, including functions, procedures, processes, and computer systems.
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and tie functional needs to technology solutions.
  • Some project/team experience and ability to prioritize work.
  • Demonstrated analytical ability to review data, identify issues, and see relationships and patterns
  • Experience participating in projects and identifying and resolving issues is preferred.
  • Proficient in PC applications, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
  • Basic knowledge of emerging practices and technologies used within the area.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good customer service, organizational, and analytical skills demonstrated managing customer expectations.
  • Some knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and standards impacting business unit business areas.
