1. You must be a US citizen before you can apply
2. Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.

4. Earn a degree in criminal justice, finance, science, computer technology, foreign language, etc.

8. Must have a driver’s License
9. Complete the rigorous New Agent Training

1. Conviction of a felony (Special Agent candidates only: conviction of a domestic violence misdemeanour or more serious offence)
2. Violation of the FBI Employment Drug Policy such as taking marijuana, cannabis or any illegal drugs.
3. Default on a student loan insured by the U.S. Government
4. Failure of an FBI-administered urinalysis drug test

7. Failure to pay court-ordered child support
