Job Description.
Due to continued growth, they seek Manufacturing Technicians to join their expanding production team. They have openings in their Final Measuring / Winding and Braiding departments. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will be a key member of a small friendly team operating various machinery to produce high-quality suture material to customer specifications. You will be supported and trained to perform a variety of processes and tasks. There are also opportunities to develop as many of their staff have progressed into Machine Setter / Operator or Team Leader positions.
Responsibilities.
- Operate machinery within a production environment whilst always ensuring we produce quality products following procedures and work instructions to meet daily production plans.
- Quality control checks throughout the production process to ensure that all products are made to the highest standard and meet required specifications following quality requirements.
- Carry out duties in line with Lean Manufacturing / 5S techniques.
- Complete, accurate batch records and relevant production paperwork.
- Be familiar with business goals and work with colleagues to deliver individual and team goals.
- Maintain our high-quality standards and minimise waste and downtime.
Requirements.
- Previous experience in a production setting (Production Operative, Line Operative, Assembler or similar) is desirable.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to notice tiny defects.
- Must possess a high degree of dexterity and hand-eye coordination; passing a dexterity test will be required.
- Experience working accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to speak, read and write clearly in English, understand and follow process documentation and technical procedures.
- Have a can-do attitude, and be flexible and reliable.

- Starting pay rate of £10.50 – £10.90 (including shift premium).
