About Client Experience

The CX organization, situated within Technology & Operations, touches all aspects of the client journey and is aligned across five key pillars:

  • Onboarding (Contracting, Client & Product Implementation, Due Diligence)
  • CX Operations (COM, Invoicing, Reporting)
  • CX Delivery (Client Experience Management
  • Whole portfolio Solutions Servicing)
  • CX Transformation (COO, Projects & Engineering, Analytics, Research).

Their vision is to do service, so simply, it becomes a source of alpha for BlackRock. Client Experience Management (CEM) is a group within Tech and Operations responsible for upholding the overall client experience for BlackRock’s Client Business.

This team is responsible for communicating directly with internal and external clients and is ultimately accountable for ensuring BlackRock’s core principles are met on behalf of the firm.

This role provides an opportunity to learn about the Investment Management business, Institutional Clients, and Wealth/Retail Distributors.

The service partners with the Client Business, working groups across the firm, and their critical third-party providers.

You will work directly with KVG’s, fund distributors, and service providers to resolve operational client issues and raise more complex subject matters to internal partners.

Initially supporting senior members of CEM in all aspects of client service, you will be encouraged to progress rapidly and take on responsibility for independent client coverage.

Job Duties:

  • Act as the primary contact for Wealth-Distributors, KVGs, and client-appointed Custodians within Germany, Austria, and Eastern Europe.
  • Drive the agenda on the client experience, ensuring transparency and execution of client communication requirements.
  • Direct involvement in the day-to-day query management and resolution, onboarding, and change events, as well as proactive engagement with clients to focus on improving their experience and service levels.
  • Participate in regulatory, platform, and client-related projects.
  • Own client service experience and tackle any responsibilities the CEM team has relating to implementation impact on our client arrangements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of client deliverables by working cross-functionally and establishing relationships with internal teams.

Requirements:

  • A highly motivated individual who possesses an enthusiastic ‘hands-on’ attitude.
  • Has an entrepreneurial spirit and is willing to take on additional responsibility quickly.
  • Great willingness to learn and understand the institutional business, the Wealth/Retail fund distribution, and the market specifics within Germany, Austria, and Eastern Europe.
  • Exhibits a client-focused attitude and is dedicated to offering the highest level of client service.
  • A proactive team player who understands that a highly organized team can drive better performance and can take the lead in driving through process improvements and change.
  • Efficiently handle deadlines and pose-ability to work independently for routine client projects.
  • An interest in the financial services or investment industry and want to learn independently and in group settings.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in both German and English. Technical understanding across service functions and a strong understanding of the end-to-end client life cycles would be beneficial.
