Company Description
Summit Spirits & Wine is a state-wide wholesale distribution company centered on developing our existing supplier and customer relationships while expanding new relationship opportunities that support the distribution and sales of Spirits, Beer, Wine, and Non-Alcoholic beverages, including mixers and concentrated juices.
The Accounting Coordinator will provide general administrative and bookkeeping support to ensure the accuracy of data to support our sales and finance operations.
The Accounting Coordinator must be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounting data.
- Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities, and process customer statements monthly.
- Maintains financial historical records and accounts receivable customer files and records.
- Prepare and execute monthly excise tax calculations and remittance reports.
- Accounts receivable – payment entry and prepare and send out monthly bill back invoices to Suppliers.
- Reconcile monthly Comdata statements.
- Prepare Supplier Depletion Reports monthly.
- Maintain Customer, Supplier, and Vendor files, including contact and license information.
- Generate invoices for samples and call-in orders from Key Account Managers/Executives and Customers
- End of day daily reconciliation with Delivery Drivers, including overrides
- Provide backup in answering inbound phone calls and forwarding inquiries to appropriate staff members.
- Keep sales staff informed of any customer issues/orders, account statuses, and other relevant information.
- Assist with inquiries from field staff, including Key Account Managers/Executives and Delivery Drivers
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the Accounting Department
- Daily prepare VIP control Sheets for General Ledger postings and monitor and maintain licenses and permits according to county, city, state, and federal regulations.
