Content Manager

We are looking for a content manager for our client, the solid Finnish family company Hartela, for a permanent and full-time position in the communication and marketing team. Your workplace is located at Hartela’s head office in Ilmala, Helsinki, next to excellent public transport connections. At Hartela, you work flexibly, combining office and remote work.

Description of the task:

In the role of content manager, you are responsible for the development and implementation of Hartela’s content marketing strategy. As a content manager, together with the marketing and communication team, you are responsible for ensuring that Hartela’s communication and marketing content is of high quality, effective and that it finds the right target groups. You are a skilled writer and you know how to produce texts from long articles to advertising texts and engaging social media content. We expect you to have experience and understanding of the possibilities offered by visual communication – especially video content.

In this position, you are the content dynamo of our communication and marketing team, who handles the planning, production and ordering of interesting content. You will produce versatile content for the needs of both B2B and B2C marketing as well as external and internal communication. The development of contents and concepts that support the employer image will also be part of your job description, together with the team. As a content manager, we are therefore looking for a person who enjoys creating content in the form of text, images and perhaps even video. We expect from you versatile knowledge of digital channels and a vision of how the channels serve in the best possible way to achieve the goals of communication. You also understand the importance of measuring results.

You will work closely with the representatives of our businesses and make sure that content production supports the business goals as needed. In the role, you get to use your influencing skills to discuss with business representatives so that the contents support the business in the best way. We hope that your way of working is systematic, that you know how to organize your work and that you enjoy working with various stakeholders. We also hope that you have strong communication skills, and that you network with Hartela’s personnel with a journalistic touch.

Success in the task requires:

• A suitable university degree and knowledge of communication through studies and accumulated work experience.
  Excellent writing skills in Finnish, and the ability to produce fluent text in English as well.
  Solid knowledge of multi-channel content production and content marketing
  Knowledge of target group-oriented communication and measuring the effectiveness of communication
  Excellent cooperation and interaction skills
  Self-initiative and a planned way of working, where the work is carried out to the finish line as agreed
  The ability to innovate and the continuous development of one’s own skills, as well as the courage to try new things
  We also value photography and video production skills, analytics and SEO expertise, as well as an understanding of the application of artificial intelligence to content production and marketing
  Industry understanding is an advantage

Our story began in Turku in 1942, when master builders Emil Hartela and Vilho Heinonen founded Urakoitsijat Oy. The company’s first job was to build a new factory building for a brush and brush factory, whose previous factory had been destroyed in the bombings of the Winter War.
