Job Description
COOP Ale Works is a rapidly growing craft brewery located in Oklahoma City, known for its high-quality and innovative beers. We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Food and Beverage Product Development Specialist to join our team and help us expand our product offerings beyond beer. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about the food and beverage industry and has a proven track record of successfully developing and launching new products.
Responsibilities:
- Research and identify new trends, ingredients, and flavors in the food and beverage industry
- Collaborate with the brewing team to develop new beer recipes and flavors
- Create and test new food and non-alcoholic beverage products that complement our beer offerings
- Develop product specifications and ensure they meet quality standards
- Conduct market research and gather feedback from customers to inform product development
- Manage the product development process from ideation to launch, including recipe formulation, sourcing ingredients, and coordinating with suppliers
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop packaging, branding, and messaging for new products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful product launches
- Monitor and analyze sales data to evaluate the performance of new products and make recommendations for improvements
- Stay up-to-date on industry and consumer trends and incorporate them into new product development strategies
- Participate in industry events and conferences to network and stay informed about new developments in the food and beverage industry
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in food and beverage product development
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage industry trends, ingredients, and flavor profiles
- Experience with recipe formulation and product testing
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Passion for innovation and creativity in product development
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and constantly evolving work environment
- Alcohol beverage experience is a plus, but not required
