Full Job Description

  • Position: Front Office Coordinator (Full-time #532478)
  • Property / Office: Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai
  • Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Front Office Manager and Assistant Front Office Manager with roasters
  • Monitor and keep updated the file of vacations for all the team members at the Front Office
  • Coordinate all training within the department and keep L&D Manager informed at all times
  • Maintain computer files updated
  • Perform data entry
  • Keep appointment calendars
  • Pass messages to staff and management within the department
  • Sort incoming and outgoing mail
  • Be in charge of purchase orders and stock requests for the department
  • Ensure that sufficient stationery is available for the daily operation
  • Ensure that the Training manual is continuously updated, maintained and used effectively.
  • Help and assist the front desk when needed.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Front Office Manager or Assistant Front Office Manager
  • Stay current with developments and procedures in the hotel by attending daily Front Office briefings and reviewing the Front Office communications board regularly.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Senior School qualifications
  • A minimum of 1 year of Front Office experience in a 5-star hotel environment.
  • Previous experience working in the Middle East Region is an advantage.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office products, PSMS, GoConcierge, HotSoS, and Rex.
  • Ability to understand guest needs and expectations and to deliver superior customer service.
  • Perform the job with attention to detail and the ability to organize and handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Clear communication; practical verbal and written communication skills in English.
