Tasks include:

  1. Develop and implement Electronic Equipment Maintenance Team support strategies for operations, exercises, training, and maintenance of:
  2. Communications exploitation kits.
  3. Personnel digital role radios, network addressing, and soundproof headsets.
  4. Public address long-range acoustic device equipment.
  5. Technical electronic signal exploitation database systems.
  6. Primary satellite communication and geographic positioning systems.
  7. Back-up gyroscopic positioning equipment.
  8. Low-frequency broadcast equipment including antenna masts, high-frequency antenna dishes and domes.
  9. Cellular telephony exercise equipment.
  10. Ruggedized compact computers and rack chassis module parts.
  11. Any other gear or software, as directed by the client.
  12. Advise the client about problem reports, unsatisfactory conditions, lack of material inventory, and derelict equipment.
  13. Work with others, learn on the job, and support transfer-in equipment and technical data packages to Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS) distribution accounts.
  14. Work with the Electronic Equipment Management Team around the National Capital Region with DND security policy and procedure requirements
  15.  Work with others, learn on-the-job, and support transfer-out of equipment and technical data packages from development/integration projects.
  16. Sustain present electronic equipment throughout its life cycle.
  17. Prepare Bills of Material, “where-used” Equipment Reference Hierarchical Configuration data, Configuration Change Requests and Engineering Change Requests.
  18. Assist end users requesting information on equipment specs and provide product support for centrally managed items
  19. Determine equipment entitlements from Army orders
  20. Check DRMIS for distribution allocations, and serialized items’ locations to obtain monthly snapshot views of deployment quantities/locations
  21. Document spreadsheets of item distribution allocations, serialized items, cross-referenced with government catalogue hyperlinks.
  22. Follow-up with original equipment manufacturers for Return Material Authorizations, Product Discontinuance, and equipment status at 3rd line service centres.

Qualifications

  1. 5+ years of experience working in a Life Cycle Material Management environment or related experience
  2. Experience in the preparation of technical documents, specifications, checklists, bulletins and equipment disposal plans.
  3. Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Federal Government Secret (Level II) clearance, VCR and controlled goods certificate.
  4. Experience liaising with stakeholders to support the life cycle management of equipment.
  5. Experience developing briefing notes and presentations to address technical and logistical issues about equipment.
  6. Experience providing advice, guidance and recommendations on technical issues to support the decision-making of senior management.
  7. The ideal candidate will have 6 years of experience performing some/all of the following tasks:
  8. Using a recognized process framework or using an LCMM Handbook.
  9. Working on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (such as SAP) for equipment cataloguing.
  10. Working on ERP for maintaining and developing checklists and coordinating equipment distribution.
  11. Evaluating and providing solutions to deficiencies in Technical Failure Reports and Unsatisfactory Condition Reports.
  12. Analyzing Statements of Operational Requirements. (SOR)
  13. Reviewing Technical Data Packages (TDP)
  14. Planning and executing equipment demilitarization and disposal.
  15. The following experience would be considered an asset.
  16. Experience providing satellite communication product support.
  17. Experience working on Military Command and Control systems
  18. College diploma in Electrotechnology or Electrical Engineering (Bachelor level)
