Full Job Description
We are expanding our sales team to meet the growing market demands. We are searching for a Packaging Equipment Sales Specialist with solid sales experience in the Packaging Industry and technical/problem-solving skills to cover the Northeast / Southeast market.
Responsibilities include traveling to client locations to create solutions and guide and advise on the sale of Packaging Equipment. This role works by finding new deal leads through business directories, networking, client referrals, etc. developing new businesses and customers in the assigned territory.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
- Identify and develop prospective customers in the business segment
- Identify customer needs and successfully recommend value-added solutions that will improve processes and profitability
- Collaborate with equipment and consumable suppliers to target, assess present, and close business
- Participate in product and sales training
- Develop customer business relationships from ownership/management to the floor
Required Qualifications
- B2B consultative sales experience with a track record of sales and territory growth
- Good interpersonal skills and a self-starter capacity
- Problem-solving attitude
- Solid oral and written communication skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- 2-4 years of experience in selling to businesses is a plus
- High school degree preferred or equivalent experience/knowledge

Physical Demands Regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use fingers repetitively; operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift to 25 lbs. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive repeatedly throughout the work day, including stopping and entering/exiting various customer establishments. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Mental Demands Regularly required to use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information, and documents; analyst and solve non-routine and complex problems; use math and mathematical reasoning; learn and apply new knowledge or skills, perform highly detailed on multiple, concurrent tasks; work under intensive deadlines with frequent interruptions; and interaction with managers, staff, customers. Work Environment Employees work under typical office conditions, but travel/driving responsibilities will be exposed to weather and specific driving conditions.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $60,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
