As a Pension Delivery Consultant, you will be responsible to ensure the accurate administration of the RBC Pension Plans.
You will perform/review pension data and calculations by plain text, policies and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate interpretation and calculates pension entitlement for retiring defined benefit (DB) plan members
- Maintain robust documentation of Pension processes
- Demonstrate a commitment to teamwork through coaching and mentoring amongst peer group
- Take ownership and respond promptly and professionally to inquiries directly from employees or referred by the HR Advice or service partners
- Ability to provide advice and appropriate solutions to members using multiple HR systems
- Going beyond resolving cases by analyzing root causes, providing solutions and working with partners to implement changes to drive enriching experiences
- Undertake project work in conjunction with actuarial consultants relating to the sale/purchase of
- RBC businesses require the accurate calculation of accrued pension benefits and pension benefit credits.
- Participate in building and implementing support models for HR program changes, including review and documentation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Support annual pension statement testing and annual valuation requirements in providing information and responses to data queries.
Qualifications
- Understanding of Pension Benefits Standards Act, 1985, Income Tax Act and Provincial pension legislation.
- 5 to 7 years of Defined Benefit pension experience.
- Pension Plan Administration Certificate — CEBS (RPA) or PPAC; CHRP/CHRL in progress or completed
- HR Applications (including SAP/Workday, BenPlus)
- Strong PC skills (Excel/Word)
- Strong mathematical skills
- Strong decision-making ability
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize, organize and work under pressure in a team environment
- Exercise sound judgement in making decisions and demonstrate a high level of accuracy as well as the ability to communicate (both verbally and in writing) across all levels of the organization as required.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of the RBC Pension Program
- Knowledge of marital breakdown valuation and splitting of pension credits calculations
- French – Bilingual
- Understanding of actuarial concepts, and strong mathematical skills.
