QUANTIC DREAM
We are looking for a Pipeline Animation Tools Developer to contribute to the development of our internal suite of 3D software tools used by animators and Motion Capture operators.
Attached to the “Maya Tools” R&D team and under the responsibility of the Lead, you will be in charge of ensuring the support and development of our Motion Capture production pipeline.
You will need to understand the needs of the users (animators and operators Motion Capture), and realize the tools integrated in Maya and Motion Builder.
You will need to understand and assimilate the production pipeline from Motion Capture to Quantic Dream’s proprietary animation engine.
You will also ensure the maintenance and documentation of the Motion Capture tools and production pipeline.
You will be inventive and motivated in order to compare us on our AAA projects.
Your missions within the QUANTIC DREAM team:
You have a degree in computer science
Strong experience and mastery of Python 3 and PySide 2
Knowledge of Maya and/or Motion Builder
Shotgrid development experience
Experience in data processing tool development (Batch / Farm)
Comprehension of written and spoken English
Professional and positive attitude, efficiency in communicating with other programmers, Mocap operators and animators
Capacity to listen, understand problems and adapt to propose solutions.
Ability to provide production support / strong desire to help colleges.
Your qualities that will make the difference:
Knowledge of basic Motion Builder concepts (Character/HumanIK)
Strong knowledge of tool development in Python
Knowledge of Vicon tools (Shogun live / Shogun Post)
Knowledge of other 3D animation software (Houdini, Blender, Rumba)
Experience with other motion capture systems (Ex: Xsens)
Knowledge of the concepts linked to the rigging of the characters
Experience in database management (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
Experience in VR development
Experience in web development
Knowledge of C++
