Company Description
As a Practice Area Coordinator (PAC) within BCG’s People and Organization Practice Area (PA), you will execute and coordinate business operational support for POP tasks regionally and globally.
Working with PA Manager, Regional Managers and Practice Area Leadership, you will coordinate operational activities such as meeting organization, budgets or business reporting and marketing.
You will also coordinate people affiliation and development activities and the organization and execution of internal practice meetings and training while acting as a point of contact for POP.
You will independently coordinate the plan and preparation of PA meetings, seeking guidance from invitation management to agenda coordination, tracking and logistical support.
You will also support global people-related initiatives and effectively advise POP leadership on affiliation recruiting, retention, and pipeline planning.
You will create and implement programs designed to increase internal awareness of the practice to drive more significant association.
You will support annual, monthly and ad-hoc business reporting tasks, including budgeting, financial analysis and controlling.

- Thinking proactively with a forward-thinking attitude brings excellent organisation skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Acting as the practice representative in the PA community, building your network with other PACs and Marketing Coordinators, learning from best practices
- Planning and coordinating regional and global meetings with precision and attention to detail
- Solving problems with a forward-thinking mindset and suggesting workarounds
- Developing judgement, starting to contribute beyond the PA, thinking analytically through alternatives
Experience and Qualifications
- 2-4+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Demonstrated independence and autonomy in internal/external interactions
- Ability to execute defined tasks that require independent judgment based on processes or policies
- Ability to effectively coordinate day-to-day work; apply working knowledge of the primary function and demonstrate the ability to solve problems within own role
- Strong organizational and planning skills – great attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to think analytically, adopting out-of-the-box thinking
- Professional, service-oriented, proactive and flexible attitude, Able to tolerate ambiguity and transform ideas into workable solutions
- Ability to perform under pressure and demonstrate presence and maturity even in stressful situations
- Proficiency in Outlook, Trello and Slack and advanced level PowerPoint and Excel
You will work with
You will coordinate closely with Regional PA Leaders and Regional Managers, the Global Practice Management Director, sector/topic Managers, and the Business Services team, alongside Practice Area Coordinators within the practice and across others.
Additional Information
Practice Area Management & Operations team members keep BCG’s industry and functional practice areas operating responsively and efficiently.
As a member of this team, you will contribute directly to their business’s success through several roles, including content development, process management, marketing, and meeting.
