Job Description
The Project Engineer is required to interact closely with the project manager and assigned team members to ensure the timely completion and tracking of projects. Coordinates and communicates with the team on project status and documentation. Processes and coordinates internal/external information responding to questions from executive management.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and follow up on project time schedules to achieve project deadlines;
- Review project budget and compare with actual cost;
- Prepare shop drawings and material submittals and secure approvals from Consultants;
- Study the subcontractor’s offers, negotiate with the machine suppliers and select the suitable ones for each project and ensure that projects are completed within timelines;
- Arrange for manpower Follow-up and ensure required materials and pieces of equipment are delivered to the sites;
- Responsible for general administrative functions to support the Engineering business unit fulfilment process, including project contracts, service agreements, purchase orders, initiating invoicing, etc.
- Maintains accurate customer information and ensures correct and timely invoicing for goods dispatched. Ensures all customer agreements, e.g. pricing; etc., are taken into account in the final invoice;
- Pipeline management – provides reports and data on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis to support pipeline reviews;
- Tracking and follow-up of projects under execution;
- Supervise and Inspect the HVAC site work
- Coordinate with engineers on site (Civil, Architectural, Electrical & Other Services)
- Track the progress and quality of the work being performed, prepare project progress reports and request for payments.
- Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Prepare the required mechanical calculation (static pressure, duct sizing, …)
- Prepare the compliance with the specs of the project
- Follow-up of corrective/preventive actions.
- Coordination with other departments within the company
- Follow-up with the maintenance department at the post-construction stage.
- Creates and maintains documentation/filing for core sales processes and per project;
- Ensures company Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are adhered to as defined by the Risk and Audit Committee (RAC).
Skills
- Bachelor Degree
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in the same or related field.
- Must have strong communication skills, a proactive approach with a willingness to work independently as well as part of a team;
- Proven experience prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines within a high-paced environment;
- Relationship-building solid skills to maximize opportunities with;
- Familiarity/previous working experience with the business operations of HVAC/Split Units/Cooling Systems preferred.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic languages.
