Job Description
The Staff Accountant performs staff-level accounting duties in support of the business’s corporate accounting group’s accounting, administrative, and financial planning duties. Responsibilities include completing journal entries, account reconciliations, and management reports required to complete the monthly financial close. Leads the documentation of financial processes, identifying essential controls, and ensuring the Company has adequate internal controls over financial reporting. Additional financial projects will be assigned as needed.
What you’ll be doing:
- Financial Processes and Internal Controls: document existing financial processes, identify key controls, and ensure controls are designed to address all relevant financial statement assertions over financial reporting, including information technology and entity controls preventing or detecting fraud.
- In charge of a full set of accounts
- Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, and account reconciliations for Japan entity
- Responsible for portions of the monthly reporting process for Japan
- Coordinate monthly financial close and related analysis of results provided by regional financial reporting teams.
- Responsible for completing consumption tax, corporate tax, and fixed asset return filing
- Ensure the consistency of adhering to financial policies and practices globally.
- Input non-trade supplier invoices and others
- Assist with the annual global and local statutory audits.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Skills
- The candidate must be proficient in speaking and writing Japanese
- Experienced in Microsoft D365 software, preferably
- Complete sets of Japan accounts experience (minimum 2 years)
- Must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in Oracle and SAP (preferred)
- Preferred Industry: IT, communication.

Work Conditions
- Job Type Temp to Perm
- Salary 6 million yen ~ Negotiable, based on experience
- Salary Bonuses Bonuses are paid on top of indicated salary.
Average Salary- ¥6,000,000
