Tax specialist (Compliance & Advisory)

Right now, we are looking for a Tax specialist- Compliance & Advisory to join our team at Globant!

Main activities:

1. Preparation of annual, monthly, and quarterly Tax Returns such as Corporate Income tax, VAT Returns, Withholding Tax payments, and other government payments and returns within stipulated deadlines.
2. Forecasting of tax payments for effective cash flow management.
3. Preparation of monthly and annual tax provisions.
4. Internal reporting and monitoring of fiscal risks.
5. Be responsible for the interaction with the external advisors.
6. Prepare for, and assist with, external tax audits.
7. Assist with the reconciliation of general ledger tax accounts.
8. Assist with quarterly and annual audits, including SOX compliance
9. Support management in making strategic tax decisions.
10. Handle tax queries from business stakeholders and operational teams, acting as the single point of contact in the country and the region.
11. Cooperate with the Corporate Tax Advisory and Transfer Pricing team providing comprehensive and business-oriented tax analysis and advice such as tax credit recovery process, legal reorganization, and M&A activity, among others.
12. Interface with other regional and local teams.

What will help you succeed:

• 5 years of experience in tax matters in Big4 or Multinational Groups.
• Experience in taxation in Spain.
• Experience in taxation of EMEA countries is a plus.
• Accounting and financial skills.
• Being flexible and goal-oriented.
• Enjoy solving problems and improving processes.
• Possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Interdisciplinary ability to understand diverse topics of a global corporate environment.
• Experience with SAP (desirable).
• Intermediate English skills.
