Transportation and Logistics Coordinator

Cargill Animal Nutrition has been in the Republic of Ireland since 2002 and now employs approx. 45 people at one location in Naas.

The Transportation and Logistics Coordinator will help evaluate distribution and transportation operations, data, and facilities to identify the most effective distribution and transportation patterns for products. In this role, you will help conduct data management, reporting and analysis, shipping, client interaction, business partnership, people, resources, budget, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select and foster continuous relationships with external transport providers.
• Use limited transportation and logistics industry knowledge to make recommendations to establish good customer relations.
• Analyze and project transportation costs and coordinate customs clearances and permits.
• Provide distribution, transportation, and logistical solutions for the inbound or outbound movement of raw material and finished products from origin to destination.
• Perform data entry updates in spreadsheets and databases based on sales orders and contracts and provide data to more senior team members for further analysis.
• Handle fundamental issues and problems under minimal supervision while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned
