Job Description
The role of a treasury officer is to manage the company’s financial resources. This includes cash management, investment planning, and risk management. Also, his duties include budget planning, financial reporting, record-keeping, and managing incoming and outgoing funds.
Responsibilities
Below is a list of material responsibilities and essential duties which must be completed to achieve the objectives of this position.
- Managing credit facilities contracts
- Follow up on the banking transaction processes.
- Preparing corporate treasury reports and updating the related weekly/monthly reports, and handling the Facilities Management System
- Ensure that all finance requests are tallied with the budget
- Allocates finance costs among the subsidiaries
- Providing and updating dues reports for all subsidiaries regularly.
- Following up on the banks’ instalments for BIG and its subsidiaries to ensure “no past dues” and recommend & proceed with the required actions to transfer cash among BIG treasury banks’ accounts.
- Hedging activities: negotiating for better rates, paying early and saving banking costs.
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Preparation of LGs and LCs applications on time. In addition, following up with BIG treasury internal and external clients to ensure high-quality services.
- Cash management: Ensure timely payment and settlement of all dues by proper communication and planning with subsidiaries.
- Issuing of LCs considers all related terms, conditions, trading rules and incoterms (FOB, CIF, etc…).
- Secures financial information and banking transactions.
- Knowing of KYC, Ci-net and related banking forms and opening new accounts.
- Assist in processing balance sheets, income statements, cash flow budgeting for BIG holding and its subsidiaries and other financial statements according to legal and group accounting and financial guidelines.
· Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
Skills
Knowledge, skills & abilities (KSA):Below are statements regarding education and experience qualifications, and required proficiencies with specialized knowledge, necessary to perform this job.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a relevant field.
- Minimum experience of 4 – 6 years in accounting, finance, and banking.
- Strong personality and excellent communication skills.
- Proven work experience as an accountant in a relevant Industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and corporate finance principles and procedures.
- Knowledge of Islamic Banking products (Tawarruq, Murabaha, Bai Ajel, etc..…).
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills and ability to read and understand cash flow and financial projection models.
- Strategic planning skills.
- Knowledge of LC Incoterms and trading terms and conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Excellent organizing abilities and strong accountability skills.
- Excellent Knowledge of MS office.
- Strong banking relations and contacts.
- Strong awareness of the CBK and banking regulations.
- Ability to prepare, review, and accomplish different banking deals and transactions.
- Awareness of the company’s legal types and structures.
