Requirement

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • IT literate and comfortable using Microsoft packages such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word plus SE/SDI internal management systems (dynamics)
  • Working in a customer-focused sales and or business development environment
  • Working with networks, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Using past experience and precedent, the Lead Generation Specialist will exercise discretion when required.

2. Official Driver

The official driver is an exciting role that supports the strengthening of the UK and Japan partnership by providing official transport to the Ambassador, Embassy staff, and VIP/VVIPs.

Providing safe and reliable transport plays an important role in ensuring that we are able to deliver a wide range of HMG (Her Majesty’s’ Government) ‘ ‘s objectives.

Requirements

  • You will need to submit two official certifications with your application.
  • Driving Record Certificate (3 years) – Unten Kiroku Shomeisyo
  • Certification of Driver’s’ License History – Unten Menkyo Keireki Shomeisyo
  • Japanese Driving Licence (Standard – Futsu)
  • Basic knowledge of Route & Traffic in Tokyo, Japan
  • No Criminal Record and No Good English
  • Basic Computer Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook emails)
  • Japanese Driving Licence (Medium – Chugata or Large – Ogata)
  • Over three years of working experience as a driver

3. Science and Innovation Officer, A2(L) / Administrative Officer

The Media, Communications, and Marketing department is a busy and creative team working across all sections of the Japan Network to raise the profile of the UK in Japan.

Through excellent project management skills and knowledge of marketing and communications, this role will ensure that the Japan Network’s’ marketing and communications plans, activities, and campaigns are delivered and evaluated.

Responsibilities of this role

  • Excellent people management (20%)
  • Excellent project management of campaigns and communications activity (45%)
  • Support for event delivery (10%)
  • Stakeholder engagement and relationship building (15%)

Requirements

  • Four years of experience in trade/public relations, marketing, or digital communications with a public or private sector organization.
  • Experience managing diverse staff.
  • Proven skills in project management and campaign execution. Experience in Japanese language content creation.
  • Level of language required: Native level in either language and Business in English (TOEIC 900+) or Japanese (JLPT N1)

4. Programme Fund Manager, A2 (L) / Administrative Officer

To support the Global Challenges Team in the UK’s’ engagement with Japan on various high-profile topics, including COVID-19, global health, ageing society, environment/wildlife, and labour issues.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a friendly and welcoming environment on priority issues in both domestic and international contexts.
