Their Governance, Risk and Compliance Services (GRCS) team is growing, and we are looking for a Senior Consultant – Data Analyst to join our team in Toronto.

Duties

As a Senior Consultant, you’ll be learning from some of the best in the industry and growing your skillset by:

• Work closely with clients and partners in understanding critical business issues on digital opportunities.
• Gather and analyze requirements to develop impactful recommendations and solutions
• Utilize advanced analytical techniques to solve challenging business problems, identify areas of risk and opportunities, and recommend solutions for our clients.
• Leverage a diverse set of technologies and tools to deliver insights
• Work in multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams to develop a strong experience in analytics, statistics, machine learning, data mining, and data management.
• Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with virtual and face-to-face interactions; utilize structured approaches to solving problems and managing risks.
• We document assumptions, communicate results, and educate others through insightful visualizations, reports, and presentations.
• Work with large volumes of data (structured and unstructured)
• Proactively contribute to the creation of presentation materials relating to data activities for stakeholder discussions
• Bridge the gap between technical platform needs and business issues
• Effectively communicate orally and written with peers within GRCS, KPMG and the client

Requirements

• You have strong work experience and academic record and excel in an entrepreneurial environment.

• Strong experience of 3-5 years, working with different kinds of messy, real-world data from various databases.

• Independent ability to review the data quality and data definitions and perform data cleansing and data management tasks
• Strong knowledge and experience in the following: SQL, BI tools (like Tableau and PowerBI), Python, R, ETL, Alteryx and RPA tools (like Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere and UIPath)
• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team to tackle ambiguous data processing problems across a diverse range of industries
• Experience in data governance, data quality, data processing, and data controls
• Client-facing or consulting experience
• Experience communicating insights or ideas through presentations and meetings
• A certificate or degree in Computing or IT, with a focus on Business Systems Analysis, Business Intelligence, Data Analysis and Reporting, or similar, is an asset.
• Ability to explain data and analytics concepts to non-technical team members.
• Ability to apply data and analytics concepts to business problems.
• Ability to understand and explain the business value of data and analytics concepts
• Relationship-building solid skills to interact with clients, colleagues, and the wider community.
• Ability to provide crucial consultation, analysis, and recommendations on a broad range of projects in a deadline drive environment with ambiguity.
• Effectively work as part of a project team, and communicate findings of the analysis, critical implications, and recommendations in written and verbal formats.
