About The Company.
La Pizza Company was founded in Kingston Upon Thames by Pietro Vitolo from Capri, Italy. He used his Neapolitan family pizza dough recipes to produce high-quality pizza dough and part-baked pizza bases. Pietro moved to Midhurst in 2001 to expand the family-owned business within a purpose-built factory fitted out with the latest high-tech pizza manufacturing equipment. This enabled the company to grow and mass-produce consistent, high-quality Neapolitan recipes to the current day and beyond. The current Directors took over the business in August 2006 and changed its name in March 2012 to Pan’Artisan.
Job Description.
The role of Assistant Production Line Supervisor involves assisting in the managing of the production lines to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of staff and equipment to produce a consistent quality product whilst conforming to all the required food manufacturing standards.
Responsibilities.
- Complete the line start-up form without a line supervisor, ensuring all equipment is suitable for food production.
- Check and ensure all equipment is in good working order, reporting any issues to the engineers.
- Effective operation of equipment to ensure the production line runs efficiently.
- Managing the materials and staff to achieve targeted yields and productivity measures.
- Accurate and timely completion of all required documentation in an eligible manner.
- Adherence to recipes and ensuring that the quality of the products meets the required company standards.
- Comply with company health and safety policies and report any issues, including near misses.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping and hygiene while adopting the “Clean as you go” approach and cleaning the line at the end of the shift.
- To adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices at all times, which includes food safety, housekeeping and process adherence.
- Where applicable, ensure that CCPs are correctly managed.
- To perform any other reasonable tasks requested by supervisors and managers.
Requirements.
- Attention to detail and pride.
- Ability to work under my initiative and meet the required standards.
- Good verbal and written communication skills. English is the language of operation on site.
- Physically able to complete the required tasks effectively.
- Diligent with a good work ethic.
Salary: £ 11.73 per hour.
