Job Description.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Security Officer who will demonstrate and deliver high-quality guarding and customer service to clients and service users at an international business park offering 375000 sq ft of dynamic, intelligent and wellness-focused workspace.

You will also need to monitor access and egress to manage the expectation of the client and its visitors and guests so they are in a safe working environment. To use the Security Management Systems and Visitor Management Systems to deliver a seamless service to the Client and Customer.

Responsibilities.

• Able to demonstrate and deliver high-quality guarding and customer service to both our clients and service users.
• Able to work in a team as well as on your own and have the ability to be proactive and think on your feet using initiative.
• Be calm under pressure and confident in dealing with confrontational situations calmly and professionally.
• Physically fit to complete patrols internally and externally and able to stand/walk during shift.
• Confident in writing incident and shift reports.
• Always portray a friendly, professional, courteous demeanour, using open and appropriate body language.
• Ensure that all visitors and staff are dealt with efficiently, providing exceptional customer service at all times, ensuring that their expectations are met, if not exceeded.
• Have the IT skills and the ability to understand and use varied Access Control and CCTV systems and platforms / integrated systems (Lots of sites use different Systems).
• The ability to write emails, reply to emails correctly, and speak is very important in Corporate Industry.
• Have the ability to exercise command and control and be an effective communicator to all peer groups and management levels.
• Able to understand Corporate Escalation Process – Escalate and Disseminate information promptly to the correct personnel in the event or during an emergency or Incident on site.
• The role includes you to conduct opening & closing procedures of a building, patrolling, reception duties, access control, answering incoming telephone calls, and Conducting emergency procedures.
• You will be part of a team seeing this site through from refurbishment to business as usual and must be comfortable working on a construction site moving into an office environment.
• To have a smart appearance befitting the company.
• Be confident you can undertake 100% of all specific duties.
• Be able to provide all the documentation and vetting information requested.

Requirements.

• SIA DS Licence required.
• 5* Corporate Security, Concierge or Front of House experience for at least one year, an advantage.
• Ex-forces would be an advantage.
• Must be flexible, be able to work nights and weekends, and have the flexibility to change due to operational needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and customer service at all times.
• Must have an excellent command of the English Language & Good IT Skills.
• Reliable, Responsible and Punctual.
• A friendly, professional, courteous and outgoing character.
• Take pride in your appearance at all times, ensuring immaculate presentation.
• Flexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on-site.
• First Aid qualification & a CCTV SIA Licence are desirable.

Salary: £11.18 an hour.
