This role resides within the U.S. Change Management team (“U.S. Change”), supporting U.S. Finance and Risk functions in strategic change initiatives, including implementation of regulatory requirements.
As part of the group’s core project management function, this position will entail engaging with stakeholders to determine business requirements.
They deal with providing status updates to stakeholders, supporting Senior Project Managers, and identifying and escalating risks and issues.
Responsibilities
- Support management of key strategic change initiatives within U.S. Finance and Risk, including all aspects of content delivery and project execution.
- Develop a strong understanding of the businesses that the team supports and an ability to provide thoughtful and forward-thinking solutions for business needs.
- Manage small to medium-sized projects to optimize business and technology processes and systems to deliver programs that have the highest value to the firm.
- Develop project plans to drive change management from initiation to the delivery of corresponding work product(s)
- Execute project management responsibilities as part of the firm’s U.S. Change function, providing execution support, progress monitoring, and stakeholder communication while driving rigour throughout the process.
- Provide support to Senior Project Managers in the oversight and tracking of the progress of managed projects through implementing and executing framework for project management artefacts.
- Support management of planning, execution, and completion of project deliverables, coordinating across multiple workstreams to drive progress and provide transparency.
- Design solutions to address project issues and identify areas for optimization across the supported functions.
- Maintain visibility into impacted projects to drive timely delivery of overall project portfolio.
- Escalate delays and obstacles to management in a timely manner.
- Execute business analyst responsibilities, as needed, providing analysis, assessment, research, and documentation of business requirements.
- Facilitate training course development/enhancement, including training calendar, across relevant stakeholders (e.g., Training Program Lead, regulatory report owners.
- Support the change control process and analysis of training-related issues
- Develop constructive relationships within and outside the Team:
- Actively listen to management, Team members, peers, clients (e.g., functional SMEs) and other stakeholders.
- Communicate key messages and updates to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Manage client expectations and determine actions to improve services as necessary.
- Support the implementation of the end-to-end change management cycle (program/project initiation through project closure and post-mortems)
- Enforce appropriate controls throughout the change management lifecycle, including tracking issues from identification through resolution.
- Prepare change requests and partner with stakeholders to determine impact analysis.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience specializing in Business, Finance, Math or Engineering
- Minimum 0-3 years of professional experience in a Capital Markets environment, preferably with a focus on Finance, Regulatory Reporting and associated data.
- Skilful in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written, including presentation skills
- Detailed understanding of the software development lifecycle, and familiarity with various project management methodologies.
- Strong capability to manage complex business requirements and coordinate across multiple teams in an intense deadline-driven environment.
- Writing analytical capabilities commensurate with the production of management-ready documents and other work products.
- Demonstrates proven impact and influence skills to engage both business and cross-functional team members.
- Fosters an environment based on responsibility and accountability to drive execution.
- Must be operationally savvy, action-oriented, and continuously striving for improvement.
Technical:
- Broad understanding of Capital Markets, Retail Banking, and Wealth Management.
- Familiarity with operational and support environmental issues.
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory environment in which the platform operates.
- Financial analysis skills and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to foster and respond to the culture of the banking industry.
- Formal project management/business analysis training is desired but not required.

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $ 80,000 – $135,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.
This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
