The Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A) team at QuadReal is looking for a brilliant DevOps Engineer to design, build and deploy foundational DevOps capabilities and workflows, empowering Data Engineers.

Data Analysts and Data Scientists across QuadReal with a trusted, relevant, and reliable data analytics platform.

You will have the opportunity to design and code highly optimized workflows and integrations for continuous integration and continuous deployment.

The backbone of a DevOps Engineer at QuadReal’s success will be communication, stakeholder management, and a passion for DevOps improvements.

Responsibilities

1. Defining and setting development, testing, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
2. Develop, test, and maintain core system components in our Enterprise Data Platform (EDP)
3. Create and iterate on features and workflows quickly, with scalability in mind
4. Build robust and maintainable infrastructure and adhere to coding best practices
5. Unblock, support, and effectively communicate cross-functionally in order to achieve results
6. Leave the code in a better state than when you found it (progressive refactoring)
7. Extensively manage expectations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect DevOps-driven business processes for enabling the design and creation of the best possible solutions to high-value problems
8. Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
9. Working closely with the Security Team in identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessments and risk management
10. Working closely with the Integration Team and other members of the ED&A Team to ensure data quality from source through to production
11. Participate in discussions with cross-functional teams, to understand their requirements. Translate the business requirements into corresponding DevOps requirements
12. Collaborate with other members of the ED&A team to build a secure, robust, scalable, and efficient Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) in alignment with the long-term ED&A roadmap

Qualifications

1. Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and Terraform
2. A deep understanding of distributed computing with frameworks such as Dask, Spark, and Ray
3. Experience working with Typescript, Python and Go
4. Experience working with Azure, AWS, GCP
5. Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
6. Experience working with database systems and ORMs
7. Experience working with authentication and authorization flows for applications
8. Experience with network security, and access control
9. Experience with the DevOps lifecycle, CI/CD integrations and workflows
10. Experience setting up repeatable processes and workflows to remove/reduce friction in the data and analytics lifecycle
11. Awareness and experience with the critical concepts of DevOps and Agile principles
12. Experience with Prefect / Airflow, dbt, Azure DevOps, Azure AD, and similar tools is highly preferred
