Job Summary:

eos is looking for a Director of Social Media to lead social strategy, execution and evolution. This role will oversee 1 direct report and work closely with our in-house Brand Creative team of 5, suggesting new areas of development for the Social team. This person will have ownership of all social content development and the overarching strategy of complementing cross-functional brand initiatives with social-specific strategies and executions. This is a multifacted role that requires the ability to measure performance data and translate creative needs for improvement.

The Director of Social Media will be responsible for overall brand strategy, content and communications that will drive brand health and sustainable consumer affinity. This position will lead the Content & Social team to strategize and develop brand communications and lead implementation across owned channels. The right individual will be both a creative and strategic thinker with a strong interest in innovative brand storytelling.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee strategy, development and implementation of Organic Social Media
  • Develop innovative cross-platform social communications strategies
  • Ensure best practices for social content and management of the social content calendar
  • Use existing tools/methodologies to track performance at both the platform growth level, as well as creative performance and be responsible for the communication of this info to cross-functional partners
  • Always be on the lookout for new tools/methodologies to measure our performance
  • Manage internal creative and external production agency relationships for the development of Social content
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to incorporate Social strategy across, E-Com & Paid Media channels, when needed
  • Spearhead brand social partnerships and social-specific brand activations
  • Partner with Digital Creative team to develop, evolve and maintain brand guidelines and tone of voice
  • Stay abreast of competitors and trends in Content/Digital/Social to inform new strategies
  • Lead and develop junior marketers & interns
  • Anticipate obstacles, effectively elevate issues and strategize solutions to complex problems
  • Leverage new tools to gain a deep understanding of target audience
  • Collaborate with others throughout the organization to share ideas, best practices, and promote collective thinking

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or similar field
  • At least 7 years experience in Social Media, Brand and/or Content Marketing, Digital Engagement or similar field
  • Strong creative and strategic ability
  • Proven record of creating high-performing (award-winning a plus!) Social campaigns
  • Success in leading agency relationships
  • Familiarity and understanding of consumer behavior and trends
  • Expert-level knowledge of Social Media Marketing organic + paid
  • Ability to lead and develop junior marketers
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • A strong sense of ownership and personal accountability
  • Ability to adjust in a fast paced, every-changing environment
  • High level of independence and resourcefulness
