The Position
We have a new opportunity for a motivated and experienced Electrician within our North Rocks manufacturing site. Working as part of the site Engineering team, the role is permanent full-time and offers a mix of responsibilities and exposure to several different PLC systems and technologies.
With an emphasis on promoting a healthy work-life balance, the role is predominately a night shift role working 3, 12-hour nights per week (Tues, Wed, Thurs night), totalling 36.36 hours per week. Allowing the successful candidate to enjoy 4 days off per week.
The role offers excellent EBA conditions, including:
- 3 rostered shifts, followed by 4 days off.
- An hourly rate of between $49.65 and $55.26 per hour plus an additional 30% loading for nightshift.
- Regular overtime opportunities
- Average pay paid for periods of annual leave.
Job Summary
The successful candidates will have a strong focus on safety, possess strong communication skills and be able to work independently performing a wide range of tasks, including:
- Providing shift breakdown support packing lines and mixing plants.
- Understand and conduct complex fault finding and repairs
- Participating in autonomous maintenance programs.
- Completing site focused improvements and small projects across the site.
- Monitor and evaluate the condition of equipment, machinery and components.
- Working within the team to keep production lines performing consistently.
What are we looking for?
Essential to the role, the candidate must possess the following qualifications & experience:
- Australian Electrical Trade qualification.
- NSW Electrical License
- Experience in a manufacturing FMCG environment.
- Experience of working as part of an extended team (Operators, trades and Engineers.)
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience working with PLC control systems. (Siemens and/or Allen Bradley preferred)
- Understanding of OH&S requirements and safe work behaviour
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Desirable:
- Understanding of World Class Manufacturing.
- Siemens PCS7 experience
- TAFE Accredited Hazardous area Training
- Safety PLC understanding
- Robotic experience (ABB, Kawasaki)
- Previous SAP experience or similar
- Ability to analyze data, solve complex Electrical problems, show leadership and coaching skills
