Job Description.

Engineers, as engineering practitioners, invent, design, analyze, build and test machines, complex systems, structures, gadgets, and materials to fulfill functional objectives and requirements while considering the limitations imposed by practicality, regulation, safety, and cost.

An Engineer, or Senior Engineer, uses math and science to solve different technical problems. Their main duties include developing new products for companies or individuals, maintaining current products to enhance their use, and designing new machines to improve an organization’s efficiencies.

Engineers apply scientific and mathematical principles to safely, practically, and cost-effectively analyze and solve structural, mechanical, and systemic problems.

Responsibilities.

The program is designed to build a career platform of technical, industry, and specialist knowledge. It will give you the tools and opportunity to establish your career path in various senior engineering positions and allow you to explore further professional registration, such as charters, with support from our accredited MPDS IMechE scheme and IChemE mentoring program.

  • Contact Engineer – you could provide daily technical support as part of a team on a unit, ensuring on-grade production that meets global market demand.
  • Project Development or Execution Engineer – you could find yourself working on a major capital project to reduce our business’s carbon footprint or increase our facilities’ safety or reliability.
  • Process safety Engineer or Environmental Engineer – protecting our people, local communities, and the environment by identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Supply Chain coordination – optimizing the site’s profitability through managing the movement and storage of feed, raw materials, and products to meet market demand.
  • Mechanical Integrity Engineer – ensuring the equipment we use across our sites delivers the performance we need safely and reliably.
  • Machinery Engineer – providing technical support within a Business team, ensuring the reliable and safe operation of critical machines, or developing innovative improvements for long-term fleet reliability.

Requirements.

  • Have a 2:1 (or equivalent) degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Be graduating in 2024 or have graduated in the last 3 years.
  • Demonstrating a broad range of personal effectiveness and leadership skills, with the ability to facilitate and influence business decisions in a team environment.
  • Be motivated to continue your professional development as an engineer and work with Company mentors towards IChemE or IMechE Chartership, if not already obtained.
