ERM is looking for an Environmental Consultant to join our Site Investigation and Risk Assessment team on a permanent contract, based in on our Canberra office to support the successful delivery of a growing pipeline of local and national projects by:

• Executing environmental assessments involving the collection of field data (soil, groundwater and air);
• On-site environmental management including oversight of construction activities for environmental compliance;
• Providing inputs into environmental reports;
• Supervise field work and subcontractors on site;
• Assist with the preparation of client proposals.

Who you are:

Tertiary education in environmental science, geology or a related degree.

• Entry Level to 2 years of experience in environmental consulting, including willingness/ interest in field assignments.
• Enthusiastic and driven with the ability to be agile and innovative.
• Strong commitment to safety; ability to follow established health, safety and environment protocols.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Effective written and verbal communication; organizational and analytical skills; experience recording technical data and preparing reports.
• Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently.
• Ability to succeed in a consulting environment, simultaneously handling multiple project assignments and meeting strict deadlines.
• Dependable, with integrity, respect, positive outlook, and customer focus.
• Ability to work as a team player.
• Experience conducting works on construction sites will be highly regarded.
