A unique opportunity has become available with our client, a Wealth Management organization who are currently looking to recruit an Instrument Data Consultan – EDM/Markit to be based in their office in Geneva.
This will be an initial 12-month contract.

Key requirements:
- The right candidate will have previous exposure in the financial or banking industry. Knowledge of the main financial instruments (international equities, main derivative instruments and fixed income instruments) and corporate actions are keys to support the project.
- Technical and functional experience in dealing with market data is mandatory.
- Knowledge of the main financial data feeds and experience in being able to handle feeds such as Refinitiv, SIX/Telekurs, MSCI, Bloomberg.
- Understanding and experience in designing and developing data driven mission critical systems is important to scale the service across the depth and breadth of our financial instruments.
- Experience in wealth management / private banking would be beneficial.
- A project management certification (ex : PMP) would be appreciated.
Technical skills:
- The right candidate will have some database and SQL capabilities. Markit, EDM – Enterprise Data Management being built on top of Microsoft SQL Server, candidates will need to demonstrate some abilities in this area.
- Strong data modelling capabilities are required.
- The instrument database must be integrated with the rest of the bank’s software ecosystem, it is therefore important to demonstrate significant software integration patterns, such as the use or build of APIs, ETLs, message-oriented middleware and other integration technologies.
- Experience with cloud computing, DevSecOps, and automation tools is a plus.
