The Manager, of Modern Workplace Technology, is responsible for the management of the day-to-day operation of QuadReal’s Communications, Collaboration and Productivity platform technologies and applications.

Supported by the Director of IT Core Infrastructure, the Manager, Modern Workplace Technology provides leadership and accountability on highly visible and critical IT collaboration and productivity tools within the enterprise.

They take a leadership role in driving the overall strategy and managing the entire lifecycle of existing technologies and applications.

They also collaborate with IT and business groups to build strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.

Modern Workplace Technology champions existing solutions with a customer-centric focus and identifies business requirements to drive continuous improvements and excellence within the Collaboration and Productivity tools domain.

Responsibilities

• Plans manage and orchestrate upgrades to QuadReal’s Unified Communications System, meeting room technology, device standards, and productivity/creativity systems across the enterprise
• Assists in the planning and implementation of platform additions, deletions, and major modifications to the supporting infrastructure enterprise-wide
• Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure that network security policy, and procedures are adhered to through all initiatives at the corporate level as established by the Security Architecture team
• Accountable for foundational IT platform-related matters; reviews and recommends IT platform-related asset purchases; manages O365 software and other platform-related licenses
• Supports the Modern Workplace Technology team by providing direction, strategy, and vision, also by managing performance, providing coaching and feedback
• Accountable to ensures the monitoring, analyzing and performance evaluation of production environments is continuous
• Identifies possible productivity and creativity improvements and makes recommendations to the Director, IT Core Infrastructure
• Provides support to Adoption & Success in the driving of user adoption of communication and collaboration across the enterprise

Education and Qualifications

1. Five (5) or more years of related experience, including experience with SharePoint, Teams, and 0365-based file/content and collaboration
2. Post-secondary education in Computer Science or equivalent
3. Previous experience leading, directing, and coaching a technical team
4. Experience planning and coordinating the implementation of technical solutions on an enterprise scale and troubleshooting/supporting issues concerning Microsoft client technologies
5. Experience with O365 service administration across all licensing levels and PowerShell to manage O365, including SharePoint Online and Teams
6. Strong communication skills (oral and written) and excellent presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information to technical and non-technical audiences
7. Ability to troubleshoot, quickly solve problems and automate processes
8. Organized and efficient with strong multi-task skills and the ability to work under pressure with changing priorities
9. Strong customer engagement skills and executive support
10. Intermediate knowledge of audio/video conferencing solutions, such as Teams, MS Surface Hub and Crestron MS Teams devices
11. Advanced knowledge of Windows 10, including mobile device management and application management solutions, such as Microsoft Intune and Autopilot
12. Knowledge of networking basics, such as TCP/IP, DHCP and DNS
13. Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM environment is considered an asset
14. Project Management fundamental and applied knowledge is considered an asset.
15. ITIL/Service Management experience or 3rd-level technical support experience is considered an asset
16. Knowledge and proficiency with enterprise Identity Management (AD, AAD, FIM) is considered an asset
17. Anticipates internal clients’ needs and proposes creative business solutions
