Tasks
- Operational management of accounting (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Cashier,
- Credit Management) in consultation with the Director of Finance for two hotels (Courtyard by Marriott Berlin & Hotel am Steinplatz, Autograph Collection)
- Staff management in the accounting department (vacation planning, staff meetings, etc…)
- Control all accounting functions and oversee daily accounting processes
- Improve processes and implement policies
- Work closely and proactively with the Director of Finance and provide professional support to department managers on all financial aspects and issues.
- Reconcile all sales, control daily settlements and reports and perform plausibility checks
- Correct and timely reporting on all financial aspects (e.g. month-end closings, forecasts, cash flow, etc…) in consultation with the Director of Finance
- Analyses of variances, forecasts, and suggestion schemes, and implementation of measures to protect profit targets while maintaining product quality and guest satisfaction
- Control function within the hotel regarding compliance with guidelines, policies, and standards regarding financial matters in consultation with the Director of Finance.
Qualifications
- At least three years of relevant professional experience in a management position in the hotel finance sector as well as additional qualification/training in accounting, an advantage
- Excellent financial and economic understanding
- Proven sound knowledge of relevant legal and accounting regulations (studies, further education, additional qualifications)
- Sound IT knowledge (incl. hotel-specific software solutions) and experience with USALI
- Commitment and a deadline & detail-oriented as well as goal-oriented work style convincing communication skills
- Solid team leadership and project management experience
- Fluent written and spoken German and English language skills
- Work permit for EU/Germany
