Job Classification: Adjunct Faculty – Teaching (Day or Evening classes)

Start date of this position: April 30, 2024
Required Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in physical education from an accredited university. The required degree must be completed by the start date.
Experience: At least 3 years of successful experience as a physical education public school teacher and coach, evidence of ability to supervise and mentor teacher candidates; excellent oral and written communication skills.
Duties/Expectations: Supervise physical education teacher candidates in the Physical Education/Teacher Education coaching internship. Vehicle required for travel within the BYU partnership school districts (mileage reimbursed).
- Communicate course components and expectations to students.
- Observe coaching interns at practices and games.
- Conduct a final oral interview with each intern.
- Meet appropriate dress and conduct standards as required by the University.
- Build trusting relationships with school personnel, university faculty members, and BYU students.
- Support the University Mission and Aims
