Job Description

Contribute to the achievement of the objectives related to manufacturing by the production program and supporting the achievement of the time, cost, and quality objectives relating to the assigned orders, taking care of the development of internal relationships, and supporting those with external partners.

Responsibilities

• interfaces with the design department with a concurrent engineering approach for the optimization of the product development chain to reach the cost and time targets estimated for the electrical part of the vehicle set-up;
• ensures the correct implementation of the tactical Make / Buy procedures for the electrical part of the vehicle;
• draws up the Technical Supply Specifications for the activities to be performed in Centralized / Decentralized;
• realize, in SAP or yujkthe G-PLM wave 2 system, the optimal transformation of the Engineering Bill of Material into a Manufacturing Bill of Material, in full compliance with the standard methodologies and, in collaboration with the Workshop, guarantees the alignment of the quantities foreseen in Manufacturing Bill of Material to actual needs;
• realize, in SAP or the G-PLM wave two system, the updating of the Manufacturing Bill of Material in case of project changes and the updating of the product change management documentation to minimize costs and compliance with standard methodologies;
• ensures the definition of production processes and the processing of timed work cycles, in SAP or the G-PLM wave 2 system, in line with the order budgets, monitors their progress in operation by defining and implementing corrective actions in case of deviations;
• ensures the processing of documents for production and provides the necessary technical support in production lines;
• concerning the Special Processes (torque tightening, crimping), it develops, by “Process Quality”, the documentation supporting the Qualification of the process and the operators. It provides the inputs for the drafting of the operating instructions under the responsibility of the Special Processes Technician;
• elaborates production layouts involving the “Safety and Environment Department” and “Maintenance Department” bodies according to current safety and environmental regulations;
• elaborates detailed work methods (work instructions);
• defines and draws up the typical Manufacturing and Inspection Plan for the relevant products;
• finalize the Technical Specifications for production equipment, monitors their procurement and coordinate their installation, testing, and commissioning.

Requirement

Knowledge of the technical drawing and the working methods to be used in the railway sector, with particular reference to the assembly phases of electrical mounting of railway vehicles. Knowledge of cable tables and production documentation for the construction of electrical subassemblies. Knowledge of the SAP system and the G-PLM system. Knowledge of the unique processes adopted in the railway sector: torque tightening and crimping. Knowledge of solid modeling and assisted design programs.Education/QualificationsEngineering Degree or equivalent technical background.LanguagesFluent Knowledge of English (written & spoken).Average Salary: €3,410
