Outbrain is seeking a dynamic leader to spearhead our publisher-focused product marketing team. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Product Marketing, the Sr. Director, Supply Product Marketing is responsible for defining our positioning and go-to-market strategy for all publisher-centric Outbrain offerings.

In this role, you will lead a team of 3 Product Marketing Managers and Product Marketing Directors, who are each responsible for guiding the GTM process across key product tracks, and enabling our global business development and account management teams to articulate the value of Outbrain’s publisher suite.

Outbrain’s Product Marketing Team sits within the Global Marketing Team under our CMO, supporting Outbrain’s global organization spread across 13 countries. The Global Marketing Team consists of Product Marketing, Regional Marketing, Global Programs, Communications & PR, Growth Marketing/Demand Gen, and Design.

A day in the life:

  1. Leading the Supply Product Marketing team: Establishing team goals and strategy that ladder up to the larger Product Marketing team’s objectives, and impact company goals and KPIs
  2. Strategically allocate team resources to adequately support all product lines, balancing key flagship products with new/emerging offerings.
  3. Represent publisher product marketing in various internal forums: partnering with executive leadership to define team plans aligned with our larger corporate objectives
  4. Lead all sales enablement activities: Ensure business-facing teams have the adequate internal and external resources needed to understand our new and existing offerings and articulate their value for various client types and sizes.
  5. Define our core publisher positioning and manage our core pitch/materials
  6. Host internal enablement sessions around overall company roadmap strategy, major new releases, pertinent industry trends, etc.
  7. Lead the GTM framework and strategy: Evangelize our GTM process with your team and ensure that products are guided through our Impact-
  8. Driven Process of product development in partnership with Product and Business leadership.
  9. Establish and monitor business-facing KPIs at each phase, guide the evolution of products through each phase and increasing availability to internal teams and external clients, and prepare for ultimate external launches in partnership with the larger global marketing team
  10. Guide Supply Product Marketing through roles and processes of working with larger Outbrain product and development teams – allocate team resources to various product efforts.
  11. Serve as the voice of the customer: Maintain a clear and consistent customer feedback loop that ensures business and product teams have a clear understanding of customer needs across different personas, with the ability to identify the most pertinent feedback points to guide future strategy
  12. Maintain clear internal and external feedback structure to influence product planning and strategy

What you’ll bring:

  • 5-7 years of ad tech Product Marketing experience
  • Deep understanding of the advertising industry, with a clear point of view on the industry landscape and the frequent evolution of topics within it
  • Experience leading go-to-market frameworks and major product launches; ability to collaborate with multiple teams to externally promote key products
  • Experience leading sales enablement structure and activities, with strong communication and writing/positioning skills
  • Strong presentation abilities, interest in speaking in large global forums frequently.
  • Proactive and adaptable: Identifies what areas the team should focus on, allocates resources to impact those focus areas, and can nimbly shift as needed as the business/industry landscape changes
  • Ability to manage many competing priorities and cross-functional activities: This role will collaborate with several external departments and must be able to balance input and opinions from many stakeholders while delivering on the core needs of the business
  • Team managerial experience
