Technical Support Engineer (Data Services) at Zoined

With our cloud SaaS “Retail and Restaurant Analytics” product we enable our customers to act on facts and to do so with very little effort to get started. Zoined is a cash flow positive scaleup aiming to accelerate growth significantly and we are currently looking for a data oriented technical support engineer to take a key role in our customer success team. Technical support in the customer success team is mainly related to data integration, data storage and data warehousing topics.
Personal attributes, skills and requirements
· A self starter that takes ownership of things, you should be able to work independently helping our customers with their problems and have a customer service oriented mindset
· Driven by reaching results and innovating to do so
· An experienced support engineer who has experience in using customer support (ticketing) systems and also handling and managing customer tickets
· Ability to understand and communicate effectively with our end users to resolve their support needs
· You should have fluent skill in SQL (to be able to construct even more complex adhoc queries) and a good general understanding of how relational databases work so that you are able to inspect customer data and solve database related issues.
· Basic Linux command line usage skill is very helpful
· Any experience on data warehouses and business intelligence (BI) is a definite plus
· Any experience with logging systems (like Splunk or Elasticsearch) is helpful
· Experience with these database systems is a plus: MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Vertica
· Any AWS or other cloud platform experience is a plus.
· Any programming experience (especially functional programming) is a bonus.
· Professional working proficiency in English (Finnish is not mandatory but your location is expected to be somewhere in Finland). Finnish or Swedish language proficiency is a plus.

Salary will be based on a person’s experience level. We have a nice office next to Kaapelitehdas in Ruoholahti Helsinki but also full remote work is possible. We will hire the best candidate that comes across without a lengthy process (1-2 interview rounds).
