Job Description

This job is to be performed by a Trader who is responsible, under supervision, for taking stock orders from WM clients. The duties and responsibilities he/she is going to take this job include, but not limited to:

• Execute equities orders for HK and overseas markets in a timely and efficient manner
• Provide market news updates and relevant information to professional clients
• Perform ad hoc projects assigned by management
• Maintain smooth operations of the dealing room and adhered to stringent procedures and high standards of compliance
• Works closely with Investment Consultant force to assist in identifying trading, financing and hedging opportunities for clients in global equity markets.

Requirement

Knowledge

• Knowledge of Hong Kong and the global stock market, including equity derivative markets, both listed and OTC
• Understanding the client’s investment behaviour, risk appetite and orientation
• Able to work independently under pressure and be a team player

Skills and Abilities:

• Customer-oriented mentality, proactive personality
• Effective communicator with excellent English, Mandarin and Cantonese abilities
• Hard-working, able to work under pressure, tight schedule and long hours
• Detail-oriented
• Quick-minded
• A good team player

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above, preference for finance-related major. A finance background would be favourable as would financial fieldwork experience/qualifications
• Experience as Sales Trader in Hong Kong and global stock and its listed and OTC market
• The license of securities trading

Average Salary: HK$ Negotiable
