The mission of MCAS Miramar is to maintain and operate Air Station facilities and property while providing services, material support, and training venues that promote combat readiness and support the missions of the 3d Marine Aircraft Wing and other tenants aboard the installation.

This position is located at F&B Officer’s Club, Miramar. Candidates selected for this position will serve as a Catering Manager.
Major Duties
- Responsible for the planning, directing, and supervising the catering & events program within the Food & Hospitality division.
- Responsible for acquiring new sales leads while maintaining current sales and client relationships.
- Assists in setting goals and budgets for the catering and events program.
- Reviews the assigned department’s financial status and recommends necessary changes to increase profitability and other related duties
Qualifications
- Five years of experience demonstrates knowledge of standardized mess/club or comparable food service and beverage practices, procedures, and pricing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management is preferred.
- Must possess knowledge of food and beverage operations, including catering sales and banquet operations.
- Ability to coordinate with various workstations to satisfy customer catering and party requirements, with the ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy in dealing with clients, subordinates, and managerial personnel.
- Ability to prepare reports and complete simple contractual arrangements.
- Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft office and be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
2. Digital Marketing Specialist NF3
This position is located at MCAS Miramar. Candidates selected for this position will serve as Digital Marketing Specialist.
Duties
- Works under the direction of the Marketing Manager.
- Assists in planning, directing, initiating, and implementing a comprehensive marketing program in support of MCCS program functions.
- Utilizes a variety of communication methods and channels, including social media, web, e-mail marketing, surveys, OOH, traditional, and grassroots, to inform the target audience about programs, services, events, and policies sponsored by or affiliated with MCCS operations.
- Assist with content and design within brand standards on all digital assets.
- May field advertising and sponsorship-related inquiries as delegated.
- Ensure consistent branding across all marketing channels to deliver a seamless experience for our audience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Media Studies, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field appropriate to work of the position,
- OR a combination of education and at least two years of professional experience gained within the most recent two years.
- Overall experience must include managing social media across multiple platforms and use informational marketing and media methods such as digital newsletters, video creation, and live streaming to implement the marketing strategy and plans, advertising, and promotions within budget.
- Experience within an advertising/marketing agency or similar environment is preferred, and experience with videography and video editing from raw and stock footage is highly desired.
- Must possess the organizational skills to coordinate the requests and information provided by multiple stakeholders while maintaining positive interactions with internal and external clients, vendors, and departments.
3. Office Automation Clerk NF2
This position is located at MCAS Miramar. Candidates selected for this position will serve as CYP Office Automation Clerk. Major Duties
- Record keeping and reporting
- Liaison with families and programs
- Oversees administrative management of the reception area, including the operation of an automated record and payment system.
- Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of experience in operating a computer and related office automation equipment. Knowledge of a variety of integrated software programs. Knowledge of general clerical procedures.
- Must obtain and maintain TIER-1 Child Care (CNACI) background checks required for positions that involve working with children under 18 years of age.
- Must pass pre-employment and annual physicals after that, provide evidence of immunization, and be free from infectious disease.
- Must complete all DoD training requirements within the specified time, including orientation, initial and annual ongoing training requirements, and required certifications, if any.
