Job Purpose:

The Industrial Engineering Technologist, Continuous Improvement, will strategically implement lean manufacturing to improve the production process continually.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in production operations to drive efficiency improvement in manufacturing by utilizing continuous improvement techniques
• Recommend methods for improving worker’s efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and methodology throughout the manufacturing facility and processes
• Drive the standardization of processes and implementation of metrics and best practices
• Contribute to the 5s initiative to ensure that improvements are sustained and entrenched within the business
• Demonstrate leadership by mentoring production staff and promoting knowledge transfer between teams
• Develop a curriculum for Lean training and establish a structure in the business to improve the lean knowledge across the business
• Host Kaizen improvement events
• Ensure the factory layout, both at macro and micro levels, is suitable for an efficient manufacturing process.
• Identify and implement new technologies, Capex justification, planning, and implementation.
• Provide world-class manufacturing techniques to support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.

Experience, Education, and Designations:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering
• 2-3 years experience as an Industrial Engineering Technologist in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Lean Green Belt designation would be highly desirable
• Apparel manufacturing experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:

• Hands-on experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Fluent in English
• Strong capabilities in planning, organizing, and process control.

• Must be proficient with computers and business software such as MS Office and Excel.
