Job Description

Senior accountants should possess solid communication, technology, organizational and analytical skills. Companies hiring senior accountants generally look for at least three years experience and a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Accreditations such as certified public accountant (CPA) or certified management accountant (CMA) also are preferred.A well-respected UK law firm is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their finance team. The role is to support the finance team on all internal and external financial accounting, reporting, tax and audit matters of the Hong Kong office.

Responsibilities

• Report to Senior Finance Manager and lead two Assistant Accountant
• Review AP prepared by two subordinates
• Prepare month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and review of trial balance.
• Assist in the group, local statutory and internal audits
• Assist in corporate and partner’s tax filing
• Assist in annual budget preparation and review the forecast and budget

Requirements

• Degree holder in Accounting or related disciplines
• CPA is a must
• External audit background preferred but not a must
• Familiar with HK & UK SRA Accounts Rules
• Strong technical skills in financial accounting
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Good communication skills and detail-minded
• Speaks fluent English and Chinese
