RBC Capital Market Technology’s Data Content team is looking for a highly skilled analyst to join the team.

The analyst will be part of a team of Business Analysts and Data modellers with a focus on documenting data requirements, identifying data requirements gaps, and supporting the datasets registration.

He/She will be required to engage with senior Data Architects, IT System Owners, Business Analysts, Data Stewards, and Data Owners to drive the standardization effort across different Lines of Business (LOB’s) and functions (Front Office, Operations, Market Risk & Finance etc.)

Responsibilities

1. Participate in Intake forum for Data Fabric and DCM requests, work with Business Analysts across different lines of business and function closely
2. Support the dataset ingestion, classification, registration and consumption processes, working closely with DCM (Data Content and Modeling)
3. Support data consumption strategy by creating queries/ views based on consumer requirements
4. Perform the data discovery and research in the data fabric platform to identify the data re-usability for new project initiatives
5. Support the data registry migrations by providing the UAT testing to ensure the consistency of the data content catalogue

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or diploma in business, finance, accounting or engineering
2. Data system analysts/data modellers/system analyst experience
3. Exposure to data analytics

Other requirements

1. Cross Asset experience in Cash and Derivative Products (Rates, Credit, and Derivatives), Commodities, Equities etc.
2. Good understanding of Trade Lifecycle (Pre, Post) and Front to Back functions (Operations, Product Control, Market Risk & Finance)
3. Post graduate certification
4. Data modelling experience
5. Fmpl, Fix, reactj, json, java
