This project seeks to understand better the impact of digital communication technologies on media ownership across borders.

What you will do:

  • You will support teaching in various fields in economics and finance through problem-solving classes and, occasionally, through independent lectures.
  • You will prepare and conduct classes, assess written work submitted by students, and respond to student’s queries.
  • You will be required to engage in the scholarship necessary to ensure good practice to reinforce ongoing academic research leading to a Ph.D.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable specialist disciplinary knowledge of course material through being educated to the MSc level in economics and active registration as an MPhil/Ph.D. student in the Department;
  • A good understanding of the needs of part-time adult learners and the ability to relate well to their individual needs and engage their interest and enthusiasm;
  • Practical oral and written communication skills to convey simple and complex information and academic concepts and have confident presentation skills;
  • Good organizational and administrative skills, including familiarity with virtual learning environments such as Moodle.
